1:12 PM NYC Time: Like most/all volatility indexes, the VIX usually moves inversely to the major stock market indexes, for example falling when the indexes are rising and rising when they are falling. Here we see the VIX rising and forming an island reversal on a day when stocks and indexes are generally up and oil is down. Humm… Ruf, ruf. Cheers!
